This collection started in '98 in the New Zealand town of Wanganui.
A time of nothing but good mates, Jose, Mary, Jack and Tui.
My bro was putting photo's in albums, at the same time sorting them out,
he noticed that there was more than he thought of the ones that this is about.
Random photo’s of people flipping the bird,
shots of a bunch of our mates,
an unplanned collection had occurred,
while in those high and drunken states.
Scotty’s collection focused on friends, the people that he knows,
so I asked him "If it never ends, does he mind how far it goes?"
I took the idea to all, each and everyone,
friends and strangers alike, you should try it 'cuz it's fun.
Now I have people flip me off everywhere that I go,
some people get excited, some are scared to show.
Some are foreign and some are native,
A lot of them try to get creative.
Many were taken while I was drinking,
'cuz I can't be shy if I ain't thinking,
also it's an easier task when moral standards have sunk,
so if I can't get you sober, I'll get you drunk.
Flipping me off brings people up when they're down,
so I'll make you smile if I catch you frown,
except some of my favorite photos I keep
are the ones where your grumpy 'cuz you're trying to sleep.
Believe it or not, it's a good way to make conversation,
it has its own meaning in each different Nation.
The finger collection also gives you a reason to speak,
and you can bring it up any day of the week.
I love influencing those unsure of the forbidden finger,
I say even my Grandma let her finger linger,
my nephews and niece, it isn't a problem you see,
when I put the site together the youngest was three.
In history it has been used as a taunt,
and it has also been used to get what you want,
Caligula had people kiss it as if they were kissing his dick,
could you imagine Prince Charles trying something that sick?
I am constantly trying to create new categories or sections,
like lighting effects, family generations, or different directions.
I will never run out of categories, the possibilities don't end,
enough to fill a thousand stories, every foe and each friend.
